was a musician, singer-songwriter, composer and record producer from Argentina, vocalist and composer of Soda Stereo, considered one of the most influential and renowned musicians of Latin American rock and a legend of Latin American rock.

He gained fame and international recognition for having been the lead singer, guitarist and composer of the rock band Soda Stereo, one of the most important and influential bands of Latin music.
After the dissolution of the band, he also obtained recognition and success in his solo career, which consists of five studio albums and various incursions with other musicians.


On May 15, 2010, he was admitted for a decompensation, after presenting his show in Caracas, Venezuela.
He had to be transferred to the La Trinidad Medical Teaching Center after finishing his presentation at the Simón Bolívar University soccer field. On May 18 it was learned that it really was a stroke.
On September 4, 2014 the singer died after spending four years in a coma.
The death occurred around 9:00 local time without suffering.
The news was confirmed in the official account of Cerati on the social network Twitter, as well as by reading a statement by his family and doctors at the clinic where he was hospitalized.
